ISE commits to supporting six special charities in 2017

Charities chosen for 2017 

  • Cycle Against Suicide, a voluntary organisation that aims to break the cycle of suicide in Ireland
  • Temple Street Foundation, which raises funds to enable Temple Street Children's University Hospital to continue to provide world-class care to Ireland's sickest children
  • The staff and volunteers of St. Francis Hospice, who provide specialist palliative care to the people of North Dublin City and County
  • Focus Ireland, which works with people who are homeless or are at risk of losing their homes across Ireland
  • Irish Premature Babies, which provides support, information and practical help for parents with premature babies in Ireland
  • Darkness Into Light, the flagship fundraising and awareness event for Pieta House, a non-profit organisation which provides a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm

The ISE’s Charity Committee, which is made up of volunteers from ISE staff, organises and promotes charity events throughout the year. The ISE’s activities aim to support the charities in raising awareness and funds to deliver their services.
